Lessons from the Philadelphia Business Journal

Company President Brian Romani and John Romano our Vice President of Sales and Marketing, attended the Philadelphia Business Journal CEO Networking Luncheon on October 7th.

Panel discussions from Regional bank CEOs provided insight into the challenges and opportunities of small businesses in today’s tough economy.

Networking functions like this are crucial for Edmunds Communications Group and all progressive businesses.  People like to do business with people they know, like and trust. That all begins with an introductory handshake at events and other occasions.

As the discussions turned to the marketing of financial institutions, topics like QR codes, client Relationship Management (CRM) solutions and emarketing.  We were fortunate to have much more than a layman's knowledge of these subjects.  In fact, at our suggestion, many of our clients are adopting QR codes into their marketing and point-of-sale programs.

But we also learned a little about the current state of the banking industry.  Tightened lending standards are making it especially hard for businesses to borrow the money they need to run their operationsAs banks are naturally becoming more conservative, Edmunds Communications Group needs to have a pulse on how to do business more efficiently while still meeting the demands of their clients.
